The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro organized the event as part of the implementation of the activities of the HISTEK PLUS project, which represents the capitalization of the first phase of the HISTEK project.
Namely, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, with five other partners from Italy, Albania and Montenegro, implements the HISTEK PLUS project, which is financed by the European Union through the cross-border call Italy - Albania - Montenegro.
The goal of the second phase of the project is to expand the established cross-border cluster consisting of companies, educational institutions and training centers. Among other things, the goal of the project is to support the development of modern skills of young people that are compatible with the needs of the economy.
At the meeting held on February 23, 2023 at the "Hilton" hotel in Podgorica, the results of the first phase of the project, examples of good practice of cooperation between the business and educational sectors, and the possibility of increasing competitiveness through the transfer of technology and knowledge were presented in three sessions.
Opening speeches were given by Andrea Đurović, Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, Annamaria Pantella, Foundation "Antonio Cuccovillo", Azeta Tartaraj, University "Aleksander Moisu", Albana Laknori, Chamber of Commerce of Tirana, and Dragiša Damjanović, Ministry of Education of Montenegro.
The results of the first phase of the project were presented by Annamaria Pantella from the "Antonio Cuccovillo" Foundation, Stefan Jovanović from the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, and Aris Tasho from the Chamber of Commerce of Tirana.
Representatives of the Italian companies Omron and Masmec, Michele Di Benedetto and Floriana Di Leo, Velibor Bošković from the Science and Technology Park and Goran Đukanović from the Electric Industry of Montenegro contributed to the event, through the session "Best practices and experiences between the educational and business sectors in Montenegro and the region of Puglia".
Branka Žižić, external expert, Ivan Tomović, from the Innovation Fund, Bojana Tošić, from the Institute of Modern Technologies, as well as Aleksandar Tomović, from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, addressed the attendees in the third session entitled "Transfer of technology and knowledge".
